Switchboard upgrades & electrical
A switchboard ready for solar, batteries and electric living.
Old ceramic fuses and crowded boards weren't built for solar, batteries, heat pumps or EV chargers. We upgrade to modern circuit breakers and safety switches, so everything you add next is safe and compliant.

Our approach
The part of the upgrade nobody sees, and everything depends on
Many Victorian homes still have rewireable fuses, no safety switches, or a board with no room left. A switchboard upgrade fixes that once, so solar, batteries, air conditioning and hot water can be connected properly.

What's included
Designed, installed and handed over properly.
- 01
Fuses to circuit breakers
Old rewireable ceramic fuses replaced with modern circuit breakers that trip reliably and reset with a switch.
- 02
RCD safety switches
Safety switches on power and lighting circuits to cut power in milliseconds if there's a fault.
- 03
Room to grow
Space for solar, battery, heat pump, air conditioning and EV charger circuits, planned now so you don't pay twice.
- 04
Old solar, new system
Moving from an ageing solar system or inverter to new panels and a battery? We rework the board and metering to suit.
- 05
Done with your install
Where an upgrade is needed for solar, a battery or a heat pump, we do it on the same visit to keep costs and downtime down.
- 06
Fully certified
Licensed electricians, with a Certificate of Electrical Safety issued for every job.
Incentives
Switchboards and rebates
- There's no standalone government rebate for switchboard upgrades
- When an upgrade is needed for solar, batteries, a heat pump or air conditioning, we price it on the same quote as those rebated works
- Rebates on the main system (STCs, the battery discount, VEU, Solar Victoria) still apply in full
- We tell you at the inspection whether an upgrade is actually needed, and why
